In 1997 the current owners saw the need for an exceptional small retreat in Victoria’s beautiful Macedon Ranges.
Determined to find the very best location they eventually discovered a world-class 11 acre site in the corner of the Macedon Regional Park where “Tara Lodge”, an old riding lodge, had once stood.
Surrounded by natural bush, and directly overlooking the iconic and mysterious Hanging Rock, the site offered the scope to develop something unique. Blue Ridge Inn, reminiscent of the fine small accommodations of Europe and America, had been born. The doors opened in 1999 and there has followed an ongoing and unswerving commitment to the art and provision of fine hospitality.
Now some years on, thousands of guests have marvelled at the extraordinary view, relaxed in gracious comfort, revelled in the fine food and wine, and departed Blue Ridge enchanted with their discovery.
